Lahore City

 Lahore is the historical city and the capital of Punjab Pakistan. It’s the second largest city of Pakistan and its population is about 10 millions. Lahore is situated near river Ravi from more the 2000 years.

Lahore is the eye witness of many civilizations. It was built by Loh; the son of Rama very first, then  It successively served as regional capital of the empires of the Shahi kingdoms in the 11th century, the Ghaznavaid in the 12th century, the Ghaurid State in the 12th and 13th century, the Mughal Empire in the 16th century, the Sikh expansion in the early 19th century, and it was the capital of the Punjab region under the British Raj in the mid 19th and early 20th century. So it has a rich cultural heritage, which has shown by its architecture, life style and historical plces.  Lahore was the cultural center of the northern part of the subcontinent which extends from the eastern banks of the Indus River to New Dehli.Mughal structures such as the Badshahi Mosque, the Lahore Shalimar Garden, and the tom of Jehangir and Nur Jehan are popular tourist attractions for Lahore city. Lahore is also home to many British colonial structures built in the Mughal Gothicstyle, such as :the Lahore High Court, the General Post office, Lahore Museum and many older universities including the Punjab University. The Lahore Zoo world's third oldest zoo, is also situated here on Mall road.

Lahore is said to be a heart of Pakistan. Lahore hosts most of the arts, cuisine, festivals, film making, music, gardening and intelligentsia of the country. The gardens and food streets in Lahore are so famous. In the spring season, the Busant festival increases the colors of the spring. Lahore is also known for its affiliation with poets, artists,’ musicians and writers; it has the largest number of educational institutions and hospitals in Punjab. Lahore has always been a centre for publications for Punjab, 80 percent of Punjab's books are published in Lahore city.  It is also religious center as it is a home to many temples , mosques and shrines like Data Darbar Complex, Bibi pak damn. The Pak India wagah boarder is near Lahore and it is very awesome to attend the flag rising ceremony.

In last two decades Lahore has progressed so fast; many new roads have built, including Lahore ring road which is surrounding all Lahore, The bus services have started for providing cheap transportation to the civilians, many new housing societies are established which are according to the demands of latest era, many international companies have started work in Lahore like Macdonald, KFC, nestle and many others. New private universities, colleges and schools are opened which meet the international standers. Many new banks and insurance companies have also establish them self in Lahore. Mobiles, computers and internet sector has progressed more than all other things, Now a days there is not a single home in Lahore without these three things. Many mobile companies like Nokia, Sonyericsson, LG, Motorola, Apple; I phone are getting huge profits from the Lahore markets. Similarly in computers market all well known companies like Intel, Dell, Apple, and AMD etc are getting good response by the public of Lahore. Lahore has become a mix combination of old and modern world and civilizations which have increased its beauty and every one can get a thing of its interest. It is famous about Lahore that no one can remain Hungary or naked in Lahore even if he has nothing in his pockets. And it is also famous wordings in Pakistan that if you haven’t seen the Lahore then you haven’t be born.
